The event
The symposium on South Mucopolysaccharides of Southern Brazil and Mercosur (Symposium MPS South) 2026 already has confirmed date and place. The edition will occur on november 27-29, Hotel Plaza São Rafael, Porto Alegre, RS.
The event is considered one of the most important in the country's rare diseases. Every year, the meeting attracts doctors, researchers, patients and family members from various states to clarify doubts and disseminate the latest scientific findings, especially on mucopolysaccharides (MPS), rare genetic diseases caused by failures in the degradation system of molecules Due to the deficiency of some natural enzymes of the organism.
The event is promoted by the Genetics Institute for All (IGPT), by MPS Brasil and Instituto Atlas Biosocial.
